The word "Chakra" is translated to "Wheel" and the seven major chakras are addressed in a chakra balancing treatment session. Often times, there will be one or two chakras dominating the others, these often are referred to as "Overloaded" chakras, while there are other Chakras less active that become "Closed." The idea that we can balance our chakras and strengthen them, so they are all working in powerful unison together, is the key to a wholesome balanced life experience.
Each chakra balancing treatment includes the measuring of each of the seven major chakras with a pendulum before and after the session. This can be a revealing experience that can take your self care practice to a much deeper level. Once you begin to more closely identify with and relate to each chakra more intimately, you can reclaim your control over your present conscious awareness.
Reiki energy healing helps to strengthen, heal, and balance the chakras. Peace and harmony in body, mind and spirit can be achieved with connection to healing reiki energy work, which refines and rejuvenates the cells in our body. The calming effects of a chakra balancing treatment will promote a profound deep relaxation state that is necessary for cellular recovery and for the clearing out of negative energy in the bioenergetic field.
Working with chakra awareness can bring a higher level of self-nurturing that can deepen gratitude, compassion and accelerate healing. Receiving reiki can promote increased space to allow the chakras to regenerate and balance, as they are charged with positive energy. Radiant bliss and grounded responsiveness are just some of the gifts that a mindful application of chakra knowledge can offer.

Base of Support
"LANG"
At the base of the spine
"Staying Grounded" is a term that relates to the function of the Root Chakra, the red rotating energy center located at the base of the spine. Someone that is "Down to Earth" typically embodies the centered, secure, and responsive nature that can be seen in someone with a balanced Root Chakra.
A blocked Root Chakra comes from a place of fear and uncertainty. If you feel like life is out to get you, that you can't pay your bills, and you are suspicious or anxious, your Root Chakra is likely under active or closed.
An overloaded Root Chakra comes from a place of control and rigidity. If you feel that you must control everything, that you must hoard your money, and you are overly strict and not flexible, your Root Chakra is likely hyperactive or overloaded.
Issues with the hips, legs, knees, ankles, and feet often correlate to a Root Chakra imbalance or disruption.
Blocked Root Chakra people can be scattered and ungrounded, with weight, digestion, and lower body pain issues.
Overloaded Root Chakra people tend to be obsessed with their body or obese, with hoarding, obsessive routines, and workout addiction as some commonly seen themes.
It is essential to have a healthy and open Root Chakra to create a strong base for the other Chakras to flourish. Creating a strong foundation in all areas of your life will help to keep your Root Chakra supportive to your other Chakras.
Getting a massage or a reiki treatment are two of the best ways to promote a healthy Root Chakra and get you back in your body and out of the clouds.

Dwelling Place of the Self
"VANG"
Just below naval, in the abdomen
If you've ever had a "Gut feeling' that you just had to do something suddenly and just knew it was right, you have felt the healthy responsiveness of your orange Sacral Chakra in your lower abdominal region. Your "Gut " and creative ability to physically manifest what you want into physical form is the workings of the Second Chakra, or the Sacral Chakra.
A blocked Sacral Chakra comes from a place of emotional unrest and creative blocks. If you are unable to feel any pleasure in your life, your Sacral Chakra could be under active and closed.
An overloaded Sacral Chakra comes from a place of over emotionality and extreme mood swings. If you struggle with emotional eating, addiction to pleasure, and attract low vibration relationships, your Sacral Chakra is likely hyperactive and overloaded.
Issues with the reproductive organs, abdomen, kidneys, and bladder often correlate to a Sacral Chakra imbalance or disruption.
Blocked Sacral Chakra people can be closed off emotionally, with intimacy issues, stomach issues and low back pain.
Overloaded Sacral Chakra people are usually very emotional and can even have Bi-Polar tendencies. Having a hyper reactive personality and overpowering desire classifies as Sacral Chakra overload.
When we experience a life that feels good, we ignite the passion within us to share ourselves with others, and this is what keeps the light bright within us that fuels our will to live.
Anything that gets your creative side to express itself openly and freely, dancing, painting, making music, yoga, intimate union, swimming and yoga, are great for the Second Chakra.
A Natal chart reading is a great way to get back in touch with your creative self and inspire a new way of sharing the gifts you have to share with the world.

Just below the rib cage
There is the moment, at the top of a waterslide, where you have to decide, and then you just GO and DROP IN! This would be a moment where a healthy solar plexus would push you off the edge, to have the strength and courage to move forward, and trust yourself to make it happen. Personal power governs our Third chakra, the Solar Plexus.
A blocked Solar Plexus Chakra comes from a place of low self confidence in ones strength in their ability to get what they want in life.
If you are depressed, withdrawn, or have self esteem questioning, your Solar Plexus is likely under active and closed.
An overloaded Solar Plexus Chakra can come from a place of inflated ego, and an over powering personality. Workaholics, workout-aholics, and fiercely confident driven people often correlate to a hyperactive or overloaded Solar Plexus Chakra.
Issues with the Stomach, Digestive organs, middle back weakness, liver, chronic fatigue, and low appetite often correlate with Solar plexus imbalance or disruption.
Blocked Solar Plexus Chakra people can be low energy, have stiff muscles, self esteem issues, have trouble asserting for what they want or an unclear sense of self.
Overloaded Solar Plexus people usually lack sensitivity to others and struggle with obsession, power, and control. Extreme stress, hunger, and body tension will usually accompany these tightly wound folks.
You're "core" is so important, they say', and really, that core is your Solar Plexus. "Core Strengthening" exercises, aerobics. Hot yoga, Pilates, and anything that makes space and support in the trunk and spine are important practice for the health and balance of the Solar Plexus Chakra.
The Dwelling place of the Jewel, within our Solar Plexus, is ignited with a golden light that we can strengthen and amplify. As we visualize and engage our Third Chakra, the abundance and joy we seek is attracted into our lives .

Behind the Heart
The three lower, physical, Chakras are united with the three upper, spiritual, Chakras, by the fourth Chakra, our Heart Chakra. The ecstatic rapture we experience when our heart chakra emanates love for our family, friends, lovers, and for our self is what fuels the will to live. Our ability to open our Heart Center to give and receive love is the primary function of the fourth chakra, The Heart Chakra.
A Blocked Heart Chakra is one seen in those who think they have no love available to them, and who are closed off from love. Lacking compassion, emotional coldness, irritability and isolating from relationships are some of the Under active or blocked Heart chakra symptoms.
An Overloaded Heart Chakra can be seen when one gives away more love to others than to the self. Comprising ones own needs over others, codependency, burn-out, jealousy, and clinginess are some things seen in Heart Chakra Overload.
Any pathology with anything related to the heart, lungs, arms, wrists, chest, breast, or cardiac nerves will likely correlate to Heart Chakra imbalances.
The unconditional love we feel from animals, the lending of a helping hand, exercise of our heart with functional fitness, and the conscious deep breathes we take will help to nourish and strengthen the Heart Chakra.
Immense gratitude, unconditional love, forgiveness, and genuine love and appreciation of self and others will give the heart chakra the strength it needs to be the natural healing leader in the center of the seven major chakras.

In the Throat
Moving above the Heart we begin the journey upward into the Spiritual Chakras. The sound our voice makes and the ability to communicate and listen are the ruling functions of the fifth Chakra, our Throat Chakra. Speaking with our truth and saying what we honestly feel showcases the purity of expression that a healthy throat Chakra has the power to contain.
A Blocked Throat Chakara is one seen in those who feel unable to communicate safely and openly with how they feel. These people may have quiet voices, be passive in their confrontations, take things too literally, or have escapist communication styles which can be absent, indirect, unclear, or too little too late.
An Overloaded Throat Chakra is evident in those who don't have an inability to shut up or quiet down. Those people that won't give you a word in edge wise, interrupters, loud talkers, bad listeners, or those who speak with insensitive honesty to others almost surely have an overactive Throat Chakra.
Neck, mouth and ear issues are typically associated with throat Chakra imbalances. Blocked Throat Chakras include pathologies such as laryngitis, neck pain or stiffness, hearing loss, tinnitus, and jaw pain, whereas an Overloaded Throat Chakara could involve having hyper flexibility in the neck, yelling, tooth loss, and canker sores.
When we rise our chin to the sky and sound out a loud "Hah-ng" we give our Throat Chakra a chance to open and awaken with the vibration of our voice. Sing your favorite lyrics and smile, or even hum in the shower to feel the soothing comfort of your Throat Chakra flowing with grace.
As we take off our masks, literally and metaphorically, we begin to heal and strengthen our Throat Chakra's, giving us the ability to communicate with compassion of the Heart and guidance from above.

Between and just above the Eyebrows
Tuning into yourself and using your imagination to visualize with your inner vision are some of the vital roles of the sixth Chakra, our Third Eye Chakra. When you think of someone and they are calling moments later, when you say the same phrase as a friend at the same time together or guessing correctly are all moments when Third eye function is healthy and strong.
A Blocked Third Eye Chakara is expressed when one struggles with imagination, forgets dreams or doesn't at all, has a disconnect from intuition, experiences denial of reality, exhibits poor judgement, and/or even shows sociopathic tendencies. Third eye Blockage can result in actions
often dominated by the lower chakras, and not with the inner connection that comes with an open Third Eye. This can result in brutal or absent-minded behavior with harsh consequences.
An Overloaded Throat Chakra is often attributed with people that are really spaced out and disconnected with normal reality. These people may seem more comfortable and happier meditating in altered states of consciousness, and often have a hard time leaving there and coming back to fit into normal functioning conscious society.
Between and just above the eyebrows is the location of the Third Eye Chakra. The brain, regular eyes, forehead, nose, pituitary and pineal glands, and cranial nerves are all associated with the Third Eye.
Headaches, sinus issues, stroke, vision issues, brain tumors, and head injuries are related to Third Eye Blockage. Psychosis, difficulty discerning reality, hallucinations, psychic visions interfering with daily life, and being too spaced-out attribute to Third Eye Overload.
Bridging the gap between physical and non-physical reality begins within the awakening of the Third Eye. Igniting your imagination and making up a whole story within your mind with pictures and images, painting, making music, meditation, daydreaming, keeping a dream journal and looking at the night sky can all promote optimal Third Eye Chakra function.

At the Crown of Head
Communion with God and spiritual connection to the divine are Crown Chakra duties. This is the Seventh Chakra which is seated at the top of the main Chakra column. Knowledge and wisdom, unity with all that is, higher mind philosophy, divine intervention, miracles, interdimensional travel and soul contact are all possible with a healthy functioning Crown Chakra.
A Blocked Crown Chakra is one that results in feelings of isolation, loneliness, unclear or undesired life purpose, loss of inspiration, or a narrow perspective. Without awareness of the divine unlimited creative power and love of the Creator, many are left feeling hollow and separate from spiritual connection and universal love consciousness, which is always available for us to connect to.
An Overloaded Crown Chakra can be seen in very spiritual people who are often addicted to spiritual practices. These people are immersed in spiritual and/or religious activities and are usually powerful masters of prayer and meditation. The risks here include feelings of ungroundedness, uncontrolled out of body experiences, delusions, over processing intellectually, or even nervous breakdowns. Perseverative loops in the mind and tendencies towards anxiety are common themes when lower chakras are weak in conjunction with an Overloaded Crown Chakra.
The skull is associated with the Crown Chakra, as well as the brain and cerebral cortex. Impairments to cognitive function such as Alzheimer's disease, amnesia, learning disabilities, comas, nervous system malfunction, autism and brain tumors often relate back to a Blocked Crown Chakra. Seizures, hyperactive nervous systems, physical neglect, bad hygiene, and headaches at Crown of skull correlate to Crown Chakra Overload.
From head to toe, crown to root, exists the opportunity to balance the Seven Chakras and have them functioning together with equal strength, together in unison. This makes it essential for the Crown Chakra to be active and awakened, allowing high quality light from the higher planes to infuse with us and then out into the world.
